Before entering the entertainment industry, Swope played quarterback for four years at Washington and Lee University and went on to compete for four seasons with the Baltimore Eagles. His athletic accomplishments earned him two invitations to free agent camp with the New England Patriots.
Following college, Swope worked as an analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense while simultaneously building a long and successful career as a high school football coach. His passion for athlete development later led him to a strength and conditioning position at the University of Maryland, where he worked with collegiate athletes and helped foster peak performance.
