  • Three-time Emmy Award winning filmmaker, Mallory Cunningham, has always been drawn to all aspects of creating films and storytelling. Mallory grew up in Kentucky, picked up a camera at a young age and began making films with friends. While earning a degree in Telecommunications and Business at the University of Kentucky, she diversified her skills by filming for the athletic department. Mallory then relocated to California and began working alongside filmmaker John Chester to create short films for the Oprah Winfrey Network. During that time she fulfilled many roles on their small film team including, producing, assistant editing, camera operating, story collaboration, and more. In 2016, Mallory won her first Emmy for producing "Saving Emma", a short film featured on OWN. In 2017, she won a second Emmy for producing and an additional Emmy for cinematography for the short film, "Worry for Maggie". Also in 2017, Mallory co-directed and produced documentary shorts "Ditch the Van" and "Mariel Cota" and produced a narrative TV pilot, "F.A.M.". "Ditch the Van" won "The New Normal Award" at Mountainfilm in Telluride. Currently she is in production on a documentary titled "Simone" alongside Kyle Romanek through their company, Keep it Simp Films.
