- Kurt's parents lived next door to David and Talia Shire at 514 West End Ave, New York, New York. Francis Ford Coppola moved into the apartment during the filming of the Godfather. Francis and Eleanor Coppola's children, Gian-Carlo and Roman gave Kurt and his brother Ken the chicken pox after they played together.
- After a long career in real estate, at the age of 48, Kurt went back to his roots and started Weichert Media.
