Biography

One of Mexico's most prolific and unique musical voices, Demián switches effortlessly between the different hats he wears-Emmy Winning score composer for high-profile TV and film projects, frontman of the Latin Grammy-nominated sensation CENTAVRVS, founding member of jazz ensemble LOS DORADOS, and tour/session recording veteran. After studying jazz formally, Demián has focused on exploring the world's musical diversity with an emphasis on Latin America and his native Mexico-the results of which have permeated all his musical output.

Demián won an Emmy Award for the Apple TV+ show HOME, in the Outstanding Music Direction and composition category. He recently wrapped up projects like HBO MAX's "Coyotl" (2025) and "Vgly" (seasons 1 and 2, 2023-2025), and "Going Varsity Mariachi" (documentary premiered at Sundance 2023) as well as Sony's game show "Dale Dale Dale (2022). He collaborated with additional scoring for Ernesto Contreras' movie "El Último Vagón" which debuted in number one on Netflix . Past projects include scoring Netflix's "Gentefied" S2 and the Mexico City and Barcelona episodes of Apple TV's "Home" among many other film and TV projects.
