Joséfa Celestin

Joséfa is a french writer-director based in Scotland, whose award-winning short film "Event Horizon" has been distributed in French cinemas by l'Agence du Court Métrage since 2017. Following her Scottish Film Talent Network commissioned short "Tomorrow Might Be The Day" in 2018, she received early development funding from SFTN for her debut feature "Aurora's Skies". After EIFF's Talent Lab (2018) and Talent Lab Connects (2019), Joséfa was selected for the European development programme Less Is More in 2020. In 2024, Josefa has been selected to the inaugural NFTS Sean Connery Talent lab to develop her next short film with the support of BBC Film. Joséfa is inspired to write coming-of-age and grounded speculative stories. She wants to tell the tales of diverse female characters.
