Amitov is the CEO of the motion picture exhibition company Jayam Movies Pvt. Ltd. which owns a string of movie theaters in South India.

Amitov made his first screen appearance at the age of four in a cameo role in his father's directorial debut Chitram (2000).

Amitov is currently co-chairman of the motion picture production company Chitram Movies and its subsidiaries.
