- Born and raised in Mount Airy, North Carolina, L.C. Henderson is a director, writer, editor, and producer whose work blends grounded realism with surreal flourishes, often exploring themes of queerness, identity, and emotional vulnerability through a highly personal lens.
Her directorial debut, The Four Daniels (2024), has screened at festivals across the U.S. and internationally, earning accolades such as Best Comedy Short at Longleaf Film Festival and Audience Choice at Cinequeer Film Night. In 2023, she directed I Really Wish Mercury Wasn't in Retrograde Right Now!, a short featured in Meow Wolf Grapevine's permanent immersive exhibit, The Real Unreal.
As a producer, Henderson's credits include the feature film Dukeland (2020) and the short Idlewild (2018), which she also wrote. She currently serves as Creative Director at Hidden Gem, a production company dedicated to unearthing bold, original storytelling. Additionally, she edits promotional materials for major streaming platforms, with work appearing on Entertainment Tonight, The Hollywood Reporter, and other media outlets.
Henderson is a member of the Alliance of Women Directors and is currently developing her first feature film.
