James M. Holmes is a native of Salisbury, North Carolina. He discovered his passion for filmmaking while working for a church, which led to a focus on cinematography and a growing appreciation for production sound. He earned his AAS in Digital Film and Video Production from The Art Institute of Charlotte.
James’s skills span both camera work and production sound mixing, combining technical precision with a strong artistic perspective shaped by years of working abroad. He is known for his work on Patient 27 (2026), KYD (2025), Forgive (2025), and Family Ties (2019). James continues to work diligently to create compelling visuals and capture immersive sound, delivering content that is not only engaging but both visually and sonically impactful.
