    5′ 8″ (1.73 m)

Mini bio

  • Born on the East Coast and raised on the West Coast. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley, Jay pursued a career in broadcast news. He trained alongside top news writers, journalists, and broadcasters in their field. An unexpected detour brought Jay into Jocelyn Jones Acting and Directing Studio in Los Angeles, Ca. Jay immediately felt at home under Jones' tutelage, which emphasized research and an acute focus on life and behavior through observation: principles that tie closely to journalism.

Jocelyn Jones, who worked as a confidential creative consultant on some of the highest-grossing films of all time, and was credited by Forest Whitaker as his "Dramaturge" for the film, The Butler, had this to say about Jay: "Every once in a while an artist comes along who completely surprises me with their ability to transform. Jay is one of those guys. He is as dedicated and hard working as they come, and has become a formidable actor in an extremely short period of time. Students like Jay are the reason I teach."

Jay went on to create original content of his own, Guber: Rideshare Stories, a series about a Los Angeles rideshare driver. This production earned Jay Best Webisode at the Southern Shorts Awards, where just the year before he was awarded Best Supporting Actor in a Sci-Fi for, The Babies. Jay was cast lead in a rendition of Marty at the Odyssey Theater in Los Angeles, directed by Manny Urrego. Most recently he performed in Fun with Freud, by playwright Steven Fife directed by Yuval Shrem.
