Biography

José Froilán González achieved a monumental feat at the 1951 British Grand Prix, securing Ferrari's first-ever Formula 1 World Championship victory, a win for a V12 engine, and his personal first Formula 1 win at Silverstone. He won that race again in 1954 just a month after adding victory at Le Mans to his Formula 1 achievements.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Scuderia Achille Varzi (1950 (2 GPs)), José Froilan González (privé) (1951 (1 GP)), Ferrari (1951 (5 GPs), 1954 (7 GPs)-1955 (1 GP), 1957 (2 GPs)), Maserati (1952 (1 GP)-1953 (5 GPs), 1956 (1 GP)) and Vanwall (1956 (1 GP)).
