Michael Dean Parsons is an Emmy-nominated composer whose acclaimed work spans major film and television productions as well as contemporary classical music.
Most recently, he composed the score for the hit MGM+/Prime Video series "Spider-Noir" starring Nicolas Cage alongside frequent collaborator Kris Bowers.
Working across film, he composed the score for David Yates's "Pain Hustlers," starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, alongside James Newton Howard, scored Takashi Doscher's "Only," and contributed music to the Academy Award-nominated score for "The Wild Robot," as well as "The Lost Bus" and "King Richard." He served as score producer on major films such as "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" and "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore."
In television, he scored "Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's Treasure" and Season 2 of "Light & Magic," and composed additional music for hit series including "Queen Charlotte," "Secret Invasion," and "Bridgerton," for which he co-wrote the main title theme with Bowers, earning them a Primetime Emmy nomination.
Beyond film and television, his contemporary classical compositions have been performed by the New York Philharmonic and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra at venues including David Geffen Hall and Carnegie Hall. A graduate of The Juilliard School, he studied with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Christopher Rouse.
