Michel Monty is an award-winning Writer, Director and Assistant Director based in Atlanta, GA. He started assistant directing television at 26 and became a director for HULU at 28 with shows such as Dead Silent and Unbreakable. He has won awards for his TV work and short films Drophead and With the Boys.
Michel writes visually-driven screenplays with a focus on high-concepts and uniquely autonomous characters. His stories explore the strangeness of the human condition through impossible choices and active characters.
In his free time, he likes to play piano, write plays, and cook. A few of his favorite films are The Hustler, Vertigo, Moonlight, and Safety Last. Michel also loves to guest lecture at various high schools and at Oglethorpe and Georgia State University on the process of writing and directing for film and television.
