Biography

Zerby legally changed her name to Katherine Rianna Smith in 1997, and uses the pseudonyms Maria David, Maria Berg, Maria Fontaine, Mama Maria, and Queen Maria.

Head of The Family International, a religious organization which her late husband, David Berg founded as the Children of God in the late 1960s. This religious cult grew notorious for it's acceptance of free love and it's encouragement for it's female members to prostitute themselves in order to bring men and money into the church. Later, the sexual freedoms extended to mandating scheduled incest between parents and children, and later, relaxing the rules even further to sanctioning sex between children as well as encouraging sexual activity between any adults in the cult with any child, no matter the age.
