Known in Vancouver as "Rhode Island," writer-director Mel DuPont loves Supernatural, The Rookie, Star Trek, Breaking Bad, Firefly, The Diplomat, Hot Fuzz, 21 Jump Street, Deadpool, and more, and grew up watching The Goonies, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Dark Crystal, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and The Muppet Show. In 2025, this Vancouver Film School graduate directed and co-wrote the award-winning "Break," a 48 Hour Film Project short that screened at Filmapalooza in Lisbon, Portugal.
