Shrunal Tembhurne is an India-born, Los Angeles-based writer-director focused on psychological and supernatural genre storytelling. His work explores the intersection of buried emotion, trauma, and unseen forces, with an emphasis on grounded performances and atmospheric tension.

He moved to the United States to pursue graduate studies in filmmaking, where he developed a cinematic voice rooted in emotional realism and character-driven suspense. His storytelling often blends spiritual unease with intimate human conflict, aiming to create horror that is felt internally as much as it is seen.

His debut feature project, Inherent, examines themes of generational trauma and spiritual inheritance through a contained psychological horror narrative. The screenplay received a strong industry evaluation on The Black List and was recognized as a quarter-finalist in a Los Angeles-based screenplay competition.

Before focusing on filmmaking full time, Tembhurne led a digital creative agency, developing experience in narrative development, audience psychology, and team leadership. He develops a slate of elevated genre projects centered on character, mood, and psychological tension designed to resonate long after the credits roll.
