Biography

A film and theatre enthusiast since childhood, Ankur, started working with marathi experimental theatre movement and GRIPS, a theatre movement from Germany at the age of 9. After completing Masters in Film making and Communication, Ankur directed his first feature film " Dhol Taashe" in the year 2013 and then 4 films followed. In the year 2019 Ankur's magnum opus production "Gondya Ala Re" a webseries on the life of Chapekar Brothers was streamed on Zee5 and it still holds 9.3/10 on IMDb. Gondya Ala Re also got recognised at the National level by winning the Best Drama Series and Best Social Awareness series at the National Awards. Primarily working in the Long format Space. Ankur also did a lot of TV and created wonderful stories for brands world wide, to name a few, Kesari tours, Mahindra Tractors, Maharashtra Rajya Lottery, LUX etc. Working with BULB CHAMKA as a creative partner, Ankur did a latest campaign with Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh for Battle Ground Mobile India (KRAFTON) as a Creative Producer. Ankur recently directed two Indo American English films, for Mahra Prodcutions (PGA) & Bulb Chamka named "COURAGE" and "PAVITRA SANSKAR" to become one of the only eight Indian directors to direct a Hollywood films
