Biography

Marc Surer was born on September 18, 1951 in Füllinsdorf, Switzerland.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Ensign (1979 (1 GP)), 1981 (6 GPs)), ATS (1980 (9 GPs)), Theodore (1981 (6 GPs)), Arrows (1982 (12 GPs)-1983 (15 GPs)-1984 (15 GPs), 1986 (5 GPs)) and Brabham (1985 (12 GPs)). He started 81 Grands Prix, 1 Fastest Lap and 17 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 13th in 1985.

Champion: European Formula 2 (1979).

Teammates in Formula One were: Jan Lammers, Harald Ertl, Ricardo Londoño, Mauro Baldi, Chico Serra, Alan Jones, Thierry Boutsen and Nelson Piquet.
