Biography

Tyler Lofton was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the oldest of five siblings and the first in his family to pursue a career in the entertainment industry outside of his home state. He passion for acting sparked during his junior year of high school, beginning his work through a local agency booking film and commercial roles before eventually relocating to Los Angeles to further pursue his career.

Lofton’s journey has been shaped by resilience and persistence, navigating early financial hardship and personal setbacks while continuing to build a steady body of work across film and television. His approach to acting is grounded in emotional truth, often balancing intensity with subtle humor and a natural comedic sensibility that emerges in character-driven work.

He previously starred as Marcus Fontaine in A24’s The Sky Is Everywhere and appeared in the horror anthology V/H/S/99, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Lofton also played the lead role of Abe Eriksson in the Angel Studios feature Homestead, a performance that expanded into a recurring role in the companion Homestead series.

His television credits include recurring roles as Connor in Hulu’s Love, Victor and Jeff in Freeform’s Grown-ish. He has also guest starred on S.W.A.T. (CBS), The Winchesters (The CW), Station 19 (ABC), Dexter: Original Sin and the hit HBO Max series The Pitt.

Lofton continues to build a versatile career across drama, thriller, and comedy, with a focus on emotionally layered, character-driven storytelling.
