Biography

Andrew Tomazos is an actor based in Melbourne, Australia. He was born and raised in the outer suburbs, and begun acting in High School performing in the annual school productions. Andrew during his high school years, went onto develop his craft by doing courses such as Brightstars Acting Academy, which he finished when he was 16-years-old, and begun performing in local amateur theatre productions, his first play 'A Mid-Summer Night's Dream' by Dandenong Theatre Company saw him win 'The Best Youth Performance in a Comedy-Drama One Act Play' at the Lyrebirds in 2009, an awards event honoring the best in amateur theatre in the Eastern region of Melbourne. In the subsequent year Andrew was nominated for 'Highly Commended Performance' for his performance as Jack Scott in his high school's annual production of 'High School Musical Jnr'. In 2011, Andrew undertook a short course with the prestigious drama school NIDA, in Melbourne doing the Young Actors Studio, and further developing his craft as an actor. In 2012 Andrew went in a different direction for his tertiary studies, and went onto study an Advanced DIploma in Screen and Media, and furthering his education in the Bachelor degree at Swinburne University. Andrew continued to work on acting projects, while also developing skills in Producing, Writing, and Directing. Andrew performs with amateur theatre company Page to Stage; going to schools and performing various Shakespearean texts on the VCE reading list, to help further students understanding of various texts.
