Raised in a Muslim household in New Jersey, Dina Hashem is one of the most distinctive voices in comedy. Dina has written for Comedy Central's The Daily Show, earning two Primetime Emmy nominations and two Writers Guild Award nominations. She has written for Mindy Kaling's The Sex Lives of College Girls and B.J. Novak's FX anthology The Premise. Dina writes for and voices Lamby on Ramy Youssef's A24/Prime Video animated series #1 Happy Family USA. Dina previously lent her voice to Apple TV+'s Central Park. Prime Video released Dina's debut stand-up hour, Dark Little Whispers, executive produced by Sam Morril. Jason Zinoman of The New York Times called Dina "one of the best deadpan artists working."
Dina started doing comedy at Rutgers after entering a campus contest to impress a classmate, and won. Dina won her first appearance on Comedy Central's Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle, was named one of Team Coco's "Comics to Watch," and made her late-night debut on Conan. She has appeared on Night Train with Wyatt Cenac, 2 Dope Queens, and This Week at the Comedy Cellar. Deadline named her one of its Comedians to Watch for 2025.
