Jane Kehoe

Grew up in Lismore, the daughter of two former actors. She was a librarian, a job she did when Kehoe moved to Sydney. She started studying acting at the Ensemble Theatre, appeared in stage shows, and worked for the film company Peter Dimond Films, which made industrial documentaries. Joined the story team of 'Bellbird" and became story editor in July 1968. Moved to England where she worked as a press or publicity Officer for the Conservative.Party in Britain, for the British Overseas Board of Trade and for the Department of Energy. Returned to Australia in 1976 and the following year was appointed Media Secretary by Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser. In 1978 she was a spokesman for AGL.
