Dhawalika is a filmmaker, cinematographer and photographer based in Mumbai.
After graduating from the Anwar Jamal Kidwai Mass Communication Research Centre, Delhi in 2012 Dhawalika moved to Mumbai. Since then she has worked on projects across genres that include feature films, documentaries, web series, television shows and advertising.
Her film Kutch Express won three National Awards in 2023, including Best feature Film with a Social Message. The film Pushtaini , which was her debut feature ,was selected at the esteemed MAMI Film Festival 2023. The film also won accolades at International film festivals.
It is the power of visuals to tell a story that drew her to the camera and continues to her driving force.
