Radiant natural redhead Mera Akiana Mayde is known for her 'translucent, ethereal quality that's a gift to the movies', has been called a 'young Meryl Streep' and worked internationally on the stage and screen with Cannes- and BAFTA awarded directors. She read Psychology & Philosophy at the University of Oxford, grew up in Germany and recently made Los Angeles her home base.
Mera made her professional stage debut at the age of 10 and won her first award for best actress in her early teens. She also tread the holy boards in the home of Shakespeare working with John Nolan, shared the stage with John Neumeier's famous Hamburg Ballet, and was a soloist for French choreographer Jean-Claude Gallotta. She loves to dance with life after diving in heart-first.
Since she spent most of her life getting lost and found in stories, Mera continues to be inspired by their connecting and transformational power, and gets excited by the idea of telling stories to remind us of the truth and beauty of the fullness of life as it shines through all of us.
