  • Jorge Peña Martín (Málaga, 1978) is a documentary film director and screenwriter. Graduated in Audiovisual Communication, he specialized in screenwriting at San Antonio de los Baños's Film School (EICTV -Cuba). He also holds a Master Degree in 'Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary Making' at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. After working in television and advertising as a filmmaker, screenwriter and editor, nowadays Jorge's production as an author focus mainly on the non-fiction's field, in which he has being screened and awarded in various film festivals and competitions.

    His most significative documentaries are: Los pájaros no tienen vértigo (The birds have no vertigo. 2017), screened in movie theaters in major Spanish cities and selected at festivals in the United States and Latin America; Escocia (Scotland. 2014), premiered in the Official Section of the Malaga Film Festival and chosen by the Instituto Cervantes as a representative of the new Spanish cinema with screenings around the world; and the short length film Viaje de un hombre solo (The journey of a lonely man. 2014), which, after going through several festivals, was nominated for the Andalusian Film Awards for best documentary short film.
