- Raul Boesel was born on December 4, 1957 in Curitiba, Brazil.
- 2nd place at 1991 Le Mans 24 Hours.
- Between 1985 and 2002, he competed in North American open-wheel championships (CART and IndyCar), with 3rd place at 1989 Indianapolis 500 as the career highlight.
- He was the 1987 World Sport-Prototype champion with Jaguar and in 1988 he won the Daytona 24 Hours. Raul Boesel became the first Brazilian Driver to win 24 Hours of Daytona.
- Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: March (1982 (10 GPs)) and Ligier (1983 (13 GPs)). He started 23 Grands Prix.
