But as "serendipitous" as the meeting was, the break-up was just as sudden as a breeze of wind into the air. Kevin Tajzea Hobbs is a Chicago-based actor, writer, and filmmaker whose work bridges Afrogothic cinema, visionary storytelling, and trauma-informed practice. A Sundance Institute-trained director, Hobbs is the creator of MARROW, a psychological drama exploring generational memory, identity, and healing. He is also the founder of the Hobbs Integrated Acting Method (HIAM), a groundbreaking trauma-informed and neurodivergent-designed approach to actor training that merges behavioral psychology, mindfulness, and performance.

His screen credits span theater, film, and television, and his creative portfolio extends to graphic novels (MARROW: The Thornbed Dream), Afrofuturist epics (The Redeemer), and historical horror (Beluthahatchee). Hobbs is the founder of Ash & Marrow Comics and HIAM Studio, where his work amplifies resilience, ancestral memory, and Black futures.
