Ida Giedraite

Ida Giedraitė was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, to a father who was a drummer turned ceramic artist and a mother who worked as an engineer. She spent her teenage years in Belgium, volunteered in South Africa, and lived in the United Kingdom before returning to Lithuania to train at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and Film. She went on to continue her studies across Europe and the UK. Ida has worked as script supervisor on the Locarno-winning feature Toxic, served on the committee for the Lithuanian Silver Crane National Film Awards, and is a member of the European Film Academy. She also wrote, directed, and acted in the short film Sugar.
