Cord Jefferson was born on January 26, 1982 in Tucson, Arizona, USA. He is a writer and producer, known for American Fiction (2023), The Good Place (2016) and Watchmen (2019).

Graduated from NYU with a degree in business.

Directed 2 actors in Oscar nominated performances: Jeffrey Wright and Sterling K. Brown.

Big Steely Dan fan. Also a big jazz fan. After the death of Walter Becker, several personal items were auctioned off (mostly musical instruments). Cord doesn't play a musical instrument, so purchased a standee of Dizzy Gillespie at the auction.
