Biography

Tomoko Makino was born on January 29, 1907 in Kyoto, Japan. She was an actress, known for Zoku madara hebi (1928), Madarahebi: zenpen (1928) and Shosa no musume (1929). She died on October 20, 1984.

Makino's father was filmmaker Shozo Makino, who's often referred to as the "father of Japanese film" due to his pioneering work in the industry.She was married to actor Kunitaro Sawamura. Their sons were actors Hiroyuki Nagato and Masahiko Tsugawa.
