Darius Norowzian is from a bloodline of photographers and filmmakers. From an Iranian immigrant father and Polish immigrant mother, his ethnic mix of cultures and influences has shaped how he views the world. A tough but loving childhood has had a big impact on him as a filmmaker, drawing him towards exploring less conventional narratives.
Cutting his teeth at Ridley Scott Associates, he earned the stripes of a director in the advertising world, growing his work from documentary roots.
Darius directs and produces films rooted in social realism, character, and emotional truth. His critically acclaimed documentary Born A Believer (Amazon Prime) follows South London charity Carney's Community on their journey to rehabilitate ex-offenders and disaffected youths through the medium of boxing and one to one mentoring.
