Biography

  • Frankie Garcés is an Actor, Director, Producer, and Founder of Good Omen Pictures LLC.

A 1st generation Mexican American, Frankie began his career on the stage in the Pico Neighborhood at the age of five. This led to him auditioning for the prestigious arts high school conservatory, LACHSA where he received classical training in the dramatic arts. He explored his acting chops by starring in multiple plays while living in New York City, spending a year at The New School for Drama. While in New York, he was scouted to audition for a solo play called Wheels, written by Peter Howard and produced by Encompass - Western Justice Center. The Equity show touches upon immigration and immigrant opinion and policy in the U.S through the eyes of 13 different characters with varying dialects. The tour brought Frankie back to California, mainly performing for educators and lawmakers on the west coast.

Frankie has been blessed with many opportunities to be of service to his fellow creatives by wearing multiple hats around set or stage, using his leadership skills and technical knowledge to get the job done. Primarily he dedicates himself to the never-ending journey of growing as an actor and artist.

He launched his own film production company, Good Omen Pictures, and after a number of narrative shorts, music videos, and branded content for businesses, he is now looking to develop his first feature film.

He has trained with many great artists such as Jean E. Taylor, and at the time resident- Director, Mark Armstrong. Frankie has received coaching in many different techniques of acting. The late Flora Plumb taught him the classical ways of Stanislavsky acting, as well as some lessons in Stellar Adler. He was fortunate enough to train under Anthony Byrnes in the Suziki method, and was taught voice and speech for many years by Christopher Fairbanks & Damien D. Lewis. He continues to further his studies in more technical aspects of the craft, having spent a course on Acting for Film with James Fowler, formerly a teacher at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica.

A thespian at heart, Frankie has starred in a myriad of theatrical productions on both coasts. While in New York, he led in both Henrik Ibsen's, An Enemy of the People, directed by Mark Armstrong, and Dog Sees God, written by Bert V. Royal, directed by Tsige Tafesse. He has performed in multiple venues around Los Angeles namely; L.A.T.C, The Barnsdall Theatre, The LA State Playhouse, and Theatre West.

He is known for starring in his company's flagship narrative, Nose Deep: a proof of concept short film, as well as being the founder and CEO of Good Omen Pictures.
