Roland Hjelte was a Swedish journalist and TV-producer, employed at Swedish National radio and TV since 1958. He developed and highlighted social and community-oriented reporting in a large number of programs and television series, like "Dokument 65" and "Kan vi lite på läkemedelsindsutrin?" (1963). When Swedish television started its second channel TV2 in 1969, Hjelte was appointed head of the factual editorial department and, together with Annika Hagström and Lars Hjelm, created the program series "Rikets affärer". Hjelte devoted his last working years, together with Olle Berglund, to the final editing of the large series of writings "The History of Etermedia."
