Biography

In 2014, James Marshall created, produced and co-directed The American Dream Project, a Web-series made in partnership with fashion house, Cole Haan.

As an immigrant to the United States, James recognized how critical America was of itself. The constant bombardment of Headlines was and still is telling American's why they are bad, why they are different from each other, why they should be afraid of each other and that the American Dream is over. The American Dream Project was written not to argue against this, but to show America through Marshall's eyes. To put a spot light on some of the examples of why America is great: The people doing extraordinary things to build a new future for themselves and for others, the businesses that are thriving and building in the United States and to also to prove that the American Dream was alive and well.

The series was aired in early 2015 on an unprecedented 11 competing web-platforms, including: Hulu, Amazon, iTunes, Yahoo, Good Play and on Pivot TV.

James was born in London, England and called Royal Windsor his home until he moved to New York City in 2007. He was born to his single mother, Linda Anne Edwards and has an older sister Julia Elizabeth Porter, and a young brother, Peter George Edwards. After a successful Career in Corporate America, James formed Happy Marshall Productions with a goal of making compelling content for the new web age.

James has also created, produced and starred in Jogging with James for Conde Nast Entertainment, which was aired with GQ Magazine. The series saw James run and interview celebrity friends while training for the toughest unsupported footrace in the world, the Marathon Des Sables. James ran with friends Lee Pace, Melissa George, Nigel Barker and Super Bowl Champion and gay rights activist, Brendon Ayanbadejo.
