Shubhangi Dutt is a rising face in Indian cinema who made a remarkable debut with Tanvi: The Great (2025), directed by veteran actor Anupam Kher. In the film, she portrays an autistic girl aspiring to join the Indian Army-a role that earned her widespread acclaim for its emotional depth, realism, and sensitivity.

Born and raised in Mumbai, Shubhangi grew up in a close-knit family, helping her mother with daily responsibilities and caring for her younger brother. Her interest in acting began during her teenage years, but financial challenges initially led her into fields like marketing. Despite not having traveled much outside Mumbai before her debut, her grounded upbringing added authenticity to her screen presence.

Shubhangi honed her craft at Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares, where she first completed a short course and later pursued a diploma in acting. Her natural talent and dedication led to her being cast in Tanvi - The Great after months of auditions. The role was inspired by Kher's own niece, and Shubhangi prepared for it by spending time with the real-life Tanvi in Assam and gaining an in-depth understanding of autism.

The film, with music by M.M. Keeravani and lyrics by Kausar Munir, was showcased internationally at Cannes, London, New York, and India's National Defence Academy (NDA). Shubhangi's breakout performance positions her as one of the most promising new talents in Indian cinema.
