Andrew Akler is an award-winning director, screenwriter, composer, and producer based in New York City. Andrew is known for his distinctive storytelling and visionary approach to filmmaking. He has written, directed, and produced four original short films, each of which has earned critical acclaim and multiple awards at top festivals.
Andrew's career began in college with the short film Wake Me, which won six awards at its premiere, including Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography, at festivals such as the Katra Film Series and the Magwill International Film Festival.
A highlight of his career was the creation of the viral fan film Batman: Patient Zero (2018), which garnered numerous accolades and was featured at major festivals including Gen Con, Imaginarium Comic Con, and Dragon Con.
In addition to his directing work, Andrew has composed music for films like the Lifetime feature A Daughter's Plan to Kill (2019) and produced projects such as Gateway Eyes (2021) and Last Impressions (2022).
