Katie Wieland

Katie Wieland is a New York-based AEA actor known for her work on stage and screen. Born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, she began performing professionally at a young age before earning her BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University, one of the nation’s most prestigious conservatory programs. She has trained with legendary teachers including Barbara MacKenzie-Wood, Jon Shear, Dakin Matthews, and Tony McKay.

A versatile performer whose work spans three Off-Broadway productions, regional theatre, Shakespeare, contemporary drama, and musical theatre, Katie originated the role of Bree in Jeremy J. Kamps’ Breitwisch Farm. Her performance was praised by The New York Times as "a standout... a magnificent creature." She has worked with esteemed directors including Daniel Sullivan, Trip Cullman, and Moritz von Stuelpnagel, and has performed with the acclaimed Public Theater and Roundabout Theatre Company.

Katie is known for playing high status roles on the brink. The neurotic breadwinner, the ambitious rising PR exec, the woman holding it all together with a smile and a color-coded system.

She is an avid pastry enthusiast with a love for teaching her Kansas rescue dog, Dorothy, Wizard of Oz themed tricks.
