- Erin Derham is an international award-winning director, historian, and author who specializes in storytelling with an edge, shining a light on all things misunderstood. Under her production company, History Boutique Films, she has released feature documentaries, network series, and national commercials, drawing on hundreds of interviews conducted across four continents.
Her first documentary, Buskin' Blues, a film about street music, screened at more than a dozen festivals and sold for worldwide distribution. Stuffed, a global documentary about the art of taxidermy, premiered at SXSW 2019, where it was nominated for best documentary, received a theatrical release, and now streams on Amazon. Lakeshore Records released the film's award-winning original soundtrack by Ben Lovett in 2020. Derham also served as showrunner for two seasons (13 episodes) of Point of View: A Designer Profile, a documentary series about the artistry behind interior design, streaming on Discovery+ and Max.
From 2023 to 2024, she developed a documentary with legendary producer Mike Medavoy about the builders of artificial intelligence, along with Healthy Lies, a documentary on fraud in the wellness industry.
After Hurricane Helene devastated western North Carolina, she donated her services to local businesses and nonprofits rebuilding from the storm.
Her first book, Confessions of a Liberal, releases Fall 2026 under her imprint, History Boutique Books.
