- Matthew Mora Hegarty is a Liverpool-born actor whose career began in stage and classical theatre before moving into screen work. His television debut came in SAS: Rogue Heroes, alongside Jack O'Connell, Alfie Allen, Sophia Boutella and Dominic West. Since then, Matthew has built his career across television, feature films and independent productions, with credits including the Maltese feature Xelter, starring Moe Dunford; the Netflix smash hit Legends; and the BBC drama Unforgivable, starring Anna Friel and featuring RTS Award winner Bobby Schofield. His independent work includes Cracked, Vance and Q&A. Alongside acting, he writes, produces and develops his own original projects as a screenwriter and filmmaker. Beyond acting, Matthew brings a broad range of practical and creative skills to his work. He is an experienced horse rider with television stunt experience, trained in fencing and stage combat for theatre and screen, and proficient in MMA and a variety of fighting styles. An accomplished musician and songwriter, he plays guitar, piano, drums and saxophone, while his background as a chef includes professional knife skills. Having also worked as a framer, mixologist and barista, alongside his practice as a sculptor, painter, illustrator and digital artist, Matthew draws on a wealth of real-world experience to bring authenticity and versatility to every role.
