- David Yao was born in the year 1991 in China. He immigrated with his parents into, Vancouver, Canada in 2002.
At an early age of 7, David was involved with the visual art form of painting and draw and it continued on for the next thirteen years of his life. He began to be involved with cinematography at the age of 20 and earned his diploma in cinematography from Vancouver Film School at the age of 23.
He is working both as a cinematographer and camera assistant for short films and features.
