- He was the son of Nello Pagani, the 1949 125cc motorcycle racing world champion in the inaugural season, and also the first Italian rider to win a championship in that category.
- Alberto Pagani was never a motorcycle racing champion: 50cc, 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, and 500cc. His best final standings in motorcycle championships were: 500cc (2nd in 1972), 350cc (6th in 1966, 1967), 250cc (9th in 1962), 125cc (13th in 1959) and 50cc (7th in 1963).
