- Raised in São Bernardo do Campo, he moved to the countryside to pursue his studies in film in the Federal University of São Carlos and later his Masters and PhD in the State University of Campinas, where he developed a research about the paradoxes of contemporary horror as well as Brazilian contemporary horror cinema. Still in the countryside of the state of São Paulo, Lucas Procópio started to produce short films professionally while teaching and enabling artists from other areas in order to foment a production team in the region, where he directed and produced, alongside with his husband, Rafael Victoriano, the shorts "Luz Escura" (Dark Light, 2013), "A Última Coisa Qualquer" (The Last Ordinary Thing, 2014), "Vetusta" (The Old One, 2024), "O Berço" (The Craddle, 2024), "O Entreato" (The Interlude, 2024), "Gosto de Terra" (Taste of Earth, 2024). He is currently gearing up to produce and direct his first feature film in 2025.
