Mini bio

  • Ian Craig Walker is an award-winning journalist and screenwriter whose slate of 'written by' and 'story development' credits span multiple titles, including docu-series 'The Age of A.I.' with host Robert Downey, Jr., and 'Punk,' hosted by Iggy Pop, along with feature-length documentaries 'I Am Heath Ledger', 'I Am Sam Kinison', 'I Am Paul Walker', 'I Am MLK Jr.' and 'I Am Richard Pryor' as well as three episodes of National Geographic channel's 'Facing,' a seven-part global television docu-series, which reveal epic tales of opposition against some of the world's most powerful icons.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from St. Francis Xavier University in 1995 and a Bachelor of Journalism with Honours from the University of King's College three years later, Ian Craig spent the first 15 years of his career as a hugely popular sports writer and columnist, the final dozen of those with the Vancouver Sun.

Having lived through professional football and baseball tryouts -- not to mention a very public marriage to Canadian rock icon and actress, Bif Naked -- and covering multiple Summer and Winter Olympic Games, World Championships and NHL's Stanley Cup Finals, he shifted his focus to screenwriting in 2013, graduating from Vancouver Film School's prestigious Writing for TV & Film program 16-months later.
