  • Saad Nawab is an Indian writer, director and editor who lets his imagination touch upon stories that draw an eclectic mix of the fantastical & the other worldly while delving into themes of innocence. loss and separation.

    Hailing from India and raised in the Middle East, he was exposed to ginormous amounts of western pop culture. Experiencing these cultural shifts proved significantly influential in realizing his approach to heighten an emotional narrative through striking visuals and color driven aesthetics.

    He is a recipient of the prestigious Director's Guild of America (DGA) Award among many other international awards for his fantasy driven kids short "Frankenstein's Light". It played and won hearts in genre film festivals across the world.

    His visual poetry short "Bodies of Desire" premiered on Nowness Asia and was a finalist at the renowned Berlin Commercial. the British film institute Flare film festival showcased it as part of their Five Films for Freedom campaign. After a successful festival run, Bodies of Desire streamed on Jio Cinema.

    His most recent work is a yet to be released series produced by Applause Entertainment, in which he worked as a 2nd unit director and an associate director.

    He is an MFA graduate from the College of Motion Arts at Florida State University. He is developing a number of genre projects including a feature titled 'The Fall of Hope" which was a quarter finalist at the script lab screenplay competition and had progressed to the second round of the Sundance film festival feature development lab.
