Biography

Miya Kodama is a queer Japanese-Korean-American actress and writer from Fresno, CA. Acting credits include: NCIS (CBS), CBS Showcase 2023, The Neighborhood (CBS), The Brothers Sun (Netflix), Insecure (HBO), and Grey's Anatomy (ABC).

Shortly after graduating from the University of Southern California, she was accepted as a writer for the 2018 CBS Showcase, with her sketch ("Do You Like To Travel?") making it to the final staged show. She has performed stand-up at the Hollywood Improv and The Comedy Store and studied at The Groundlings Theater (Advanced). Miya is also a voice-over actress with several video game, commercial, and animated dubbing credits.

Miya's half-hour pilot "hafu" won the Roadmap Writers 2025 Jumpstart Competition, and her short "Running Home" was in the Top 5 Finalists of the Roadmap Writers 2025 Shorts Competition.
