Ahmet Alan graduated from the Faculty of Communication at Near East University.
He began his career as a director at national television channels in Cyprus and Turkey, contributing to numerous prominent projects in the media and film sectors.
He directed the documentary "Mother of the Captives: Meryem Atmaca," which was selected as a finalist at several prestigious international festivals, including the IFEFA - International Film & Entertainment Festival Australia, the Turkish World Documentary Film Festival, and the Lift-Off First-Time Filmmaker Sessions.
In 2023, he directed a six-episode documentary series titled "500 Years on the Island" for TRT 2. His short films include "Void" (2023) and "Ceremony" (2024). Ahmet Alan has also edited 25 feature films that have been screened at national and international festivals. As an independent filmmaker, he continues to actively create and develop new projects.
