Yûichirô Umehara was born on 8 March 1991 in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He is an actor, known for Darling in the Franxx (2018), Goblin Slayer (2018) and Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These (2018).

He went to Nichinare for his training to become a voice actor in his second year of college.

He debuted in 2013, voicing Monroe in the Japanese dubbed version of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt1661326/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Shake It Up (2010)</a>.

His first main role came in 2014, when he voiced Wakasa in <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt3985242/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Merman in My Tub (2014)</a>.

He knew about the profession of voice actor after watching the Japanese dubbed version of Lord of the Rings and being attracted by Hochu Otsuka&#39;s performance as Aragorn.
