- In 1981 Doctor Mikael Powell was introduced to Joe DiMaggio (baseball legend and husband of Marilyn Monroe) at the Presidio Golf Course in San Francisco, CA, by his father Lt. Col. William H. Powell Jr, Ret'd (a golf club member).
