• He is the first youngest driver in Formula 1 history to start a Grand Prix (2015 Australian GP);
• He is the youngest rider to score points at the World Championship (2015 Malaysian GP);
• He is the youngest to win a Grand Prix, his first career podium and leading a race (2016 Spanish GP) and
• He became the first Dutch winner of an Formula 1 race.

Son of Jos Verstappen (Netherlands) and Sophie Kumpen (Belgium).

In December 2024, he announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child together with Kelly Piquet in 2025.
