Biography

Sophia Lesseos is a talented actress and accomplished News Reporter known for her diverse career in both entertainment and journalism. Her acting journey began at a very young age, when she made her debut as an infant, playing the twin in the 1998 TV series 'To Have and to Hold'. Over the years, she continued to build her acting resume with roles in film and television. In 2009, she starred in the feature film 'Double Duty', and later appeared in the TV series 'America's Superwoman Next Action Diva'. Additionally, Sophia was featured as the character Becca in the web series 'Salvaged', further showcasing her ability to bring diverse characters to life. In 2024 Sophia Day Player in several vertical films, including 'Superhero Babies' as a Fashion Designer, 'Surprise! Baby Daddy is the CEO' as a Wedding Guest, 'Cherished by my Cougar Zaddy' as a Nurse, and 'Call Me By Your Heart' as a House Wife.

Beyond her work in entertainment, Sophia has also built a successful career in journalism. She was a Reporter/Anchor at KMPH FOX26 in Fresno, CA. While at FOX26, she reported on the news, was a fill-in Anchor, weather anchored, produced, and flew DJI drones. Sophia's Reporting career started at KNDO/KNDU NBC Right Now in Yakima, Washington, where she worked as a Multimedia Journalist. During her time there, she worked on investigative stories, produced and anchored news segments, reported on sports, and filled in for weather. She also worked as a regional MMJ for KHQ.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Sophia attended College of the Canyons, where she earned her Associate's Degree in Journalism in 2019. She then continued her studies at California State University, Northridge, graduating with a Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism in 2021. While at COC, Sophia interned at the American Pavilion in Cannes, France, as a photographer at the Cannes Film Festival. She also contributed to the Canyon News team, helping produce the SCVTV 2018 election show.

At CSUN, Sophia served as President of the Radio Television Digital News Association during her senior year. She interned at KHTS in Santa Clarita, California, reporting breaking news in the SCV Valley. She also worked as a production assistant at ABC7 in Los Angeles, contributing to various projects for the FACEism documentary series, On The Red Carpet, and Localish. In addition, Sophia gained experience as a reporter, editor, writer, and anchor at Valley View News and KCSN.In her senior year at CSUN, Sophia's dedication to journalism was recognized when she won the prestigious RTNA Hal Fishman Memorial Scholarship at the 71st Annual Golden Mike Awards in 2021.
