Biography

  • Natasha Ofili is a multihyphenate actress, writer, and director. She wrote, directed, and starred in her 2025 horror short film "What I Was Trying To Say," produced with Katia Washington. Christy Hall and Renae Williams Niles are the film's executive producers. Natasha pitched the short horror film and won the Grand Prize at the Creative Futures Collective (CFC) Grant Pitching Competition, presented by Macher, hosted by the Creative Futures Collective and the Snap Foundation.

What I Was Trying To Say is Natasha and NIOVISION’s second short film, following the success of The Multi, which was accepted into 16 film festivals, including the Oscars, BAFTA, and Canadian Screen Qualifiers. The Multi was also selected for the AGBO x Slamdance Summer Showcase in August 2023. When a showrunner saw The Multi, this led to Natasha working in the writers room as a staff writer for the Starz/Warner Brothers' Untitled Show, produced by ARRAY. She is a WGA member and the first Black Deaf member.

As a rising actress, Natasha was recognized for her breakout role as Principal Vaughn in Ryan Murphy's Netflix series, The Politician. Natasha achieved a historic milestone by winning the 2024 Game Accessibility Conference award for Best Representation for portraying Hailey Cooper, the first Black Deaf playable character in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 video game. She also played Hailey in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. On Saturday Night Live (SNL), she was the first Deaf performer on SNL and performed a song with Coldplay. Her other credits include Amazon Originals' animated series Undone, where she is the first Black Deaf animated character, and Amazon MGM’s Creed 3. Additionally, Natasha was the Creative Director and Lead performer for Coldplay's music video "feelslikeimfallinginlove," which was nominated for two MTV VMA awards and garnered over 43 million views.

A new endeavor Natasha undertook is partnering with SoundX as the Head of Strategic Partnerships, U.S. Natasha’s work with SoundX resulted in her signing a deal with Coldplay, where they provided SoundX during their 10 dates (August 22-September 8, 2025) at Wembley Stadium in London, and at the Lightroom for Coldplay’s "A Film for the Future" screenings. Her mission is to bring SoundX into film, music, gaming, and more, allowing the deaf community and everyone to feel the world of sound.
